The South Oropouche River Basin (SORB) Project is seeking a Short-Term Consultant to develop Terms of Reference (ToR) for Activity 2.2.1: Reinforcing houses and commercial buildings against floods. This role involves scoping and drafting a full ToR, creating an Evaluation of Firms document, and leading stakeholder meetings. The consultant will collaborate with the Institute for Marine Affairs, Ministry of Agriculture, and others to ensure effective flood-proofing solutions for vulnerable communities.

The consultancy duration is expected to be for a period of one (1) month.

The South Oropouche River Basin (SORB) Project invites applications from qualified consultants or firms for a short-term consultancy to develop a comprehensive Terms of Reference (ToR) for the Promotion of Sustainable Oyster Harvesting in the Godineau Swamp, Trinidad.

This assignment aims to support the training of oyster harvesters in sustainable practices that protect mangrove ecosystems, as well as the design and installation of durable, artificial structures for the sustainable harvesting of oysters and crabs.

This assignment aims to support the development of eco-tourism as a sustainable livelihood diversification strategy for local fishers, while promoting conservation efforts. The consultant will conduct a market study, develop feasibility reports, and design and plan the construction of eco-tourism infrastructure,.
